April 2009
April 2009
::: APRIL 2009 ::: The first part of April was uneventful. Graham spent most of his time downstairs, but would come up to get breakfast, lunch and eat dinner with us, all being made by me. Graham asked my partner and I if he could have the settlement checks come to our UPS store mailbox, and knowing he didn’t have a mailing address we agreed that he could have any form of checks sent to our address. We started getting mail for him at the UPS store, but they were not checks, mostly bills at first and EIN Numbers from the IRS. He didn’t know how they got his ‘new address’. We asked him to limit it to the checks. Mid April is when we started to question a lot of his stories about his family, former friends, previous family he lived with and the FedEx settlement. He would tell us stories about how his Dad found out he was gay and asked him to leave Tennessee and that he was in a financial battle with his Dad and that he owed Graham over $150,000.00. My partner and I knew he had known other people here in Seattle and why he didn’t hang out with them and he said that they all used him for his money and when he didn’t have any more money they didn’t want to be friends. Graham said that the previous family he lived with prior to us were very strict Mormons and they didn’t like that he was gay. He called the Mother of the family a lot of nasty things and that they abused their kids. Graham said he was kicked out of the home due to him being gay and they stole money from him. We also learned that the FedEx settlement had been going on for at least a year from the time they had damaged all of his boxes in moving them from Memphis to Seattle. Mid April is also when he said that the medications he was taking left him in pain and he was unable to do a lot of things. He would constantly ask me to bring drinks and food down to him claiming he couldn’t walk up the stairs. On April 18, 2009 I sent Graham a breakdown of what was owed up to that day, which was 58 days. My partner and I agreed to let Graham stay until May 3, 2009 as we knew he was still waiting for various payments aside from the FedEx settlement that should be in our UPS mailbox any day now. Graham signed and agreed to the amount listed below. February 20, 2009 - thru - April 18, 2009 Room, Utilities and Food $66.00 for 58 days = $3,828.00 First excuses for not getting any checks (from anyone) This was on or around April 18, 2009 Graham claims “Northwest had mailed him a check but they didn't put the box number on it and it went back”. Graham also claims “I did get very firm with FedEx about my payment the other day. I've just about had it with them and am ready to go to the media over the entire ordeal. But they asked for one week to resolve it or at least tell me what is going on and that's the best that I can do for now - accept their answer”. The rest of April consisted of trying to find him a place to move to, and letting him know he had until May 3, 2009 to move out.

The following was posted on Jeffro's law firm's web site: Jeffrey S. Rosen (1958-2009) Jeffrey Rosen, a partner in our law firm, died March 17, 2009, at the age of 50, after a year long battle with cancer. He successfully handled business, contract, and tort claims for both plaintiffs and defendants. He was considered by colleagues and adversaries alike to be a consummate professional and a principled lawyer who did the right thing for his clients and who always strove to achieve fair and just results on his cases. Jeff Rosen became a member of the California State Bar in 1986 after graduating from Golden Gate University School of Law, where his article “Property Rights of Unmarried Cohabitants - From Marvin to Equity,” was published in 14 Golden Gate University Law Review 745 (1984). Jeff Rosen worked as the research attorney for the presiding judge of the San Francisco Superior Court in 1986 - 1987. Kat O’Connor is no pushover. She’s a no nonsense girl with a commonsense approach to life. But there’s nothing common about what’s happening to her lately…

First she was forced to have a kinky mind menage with two of the hottest and most irritating men in the galaxy—Twin Kindred warriors, Deep and Lock—in order to locate her kidnapped friend. Then she couldn’t get their feelings out of her head. And now she’s on her way to their home planet, Twin Moons, to find a cure for the debilitating illness their unorthodox joining caused, when all she really wants to do is go home.

Locks Tight, the light twin of the two, is already in love with Kat. Her curvy plus-sized body is the epitome of beauty on his home planet and her sharp mind makes her doubly attractive. But though he fell for her the moment he saw her, Twin Kindred are unable to mate a woman alone. Lock knows nothing can happen between them without his brother…

Stabs Deep. The dark twin has a secret agony in his past—a tragedy he feels he and he alone is to blame for. He too, hungers for Kat, but he hides his fear of rejection behind an impenetrable wall of angry sarcasm.
