Brisk but Beautiful

What a terrific group of 40+ riders this morning braving the headwinds and 40degree temps for our kickoff 40-miler! Thanks to the Foundation for Excellence for the sag support and to OC and Carol for leading us out. Here is an instagram from the first stop and click here to see the peloton ride out of the first stop.

Remember you don't have to ride AthSav to join on training rides so please bring friends! Once you see how friendly and supportive everyone is you might just change your mind and join the 60+ registered riders in April.
Hope to see you all out there again soon!

The highlight of our pre-Savannah Ride Season
March 24th Firefly Ticket to Ride.
This event is already generating tremendous excitement, and will help garner interest and support for the planned Firefly Rail Trail, which will eventually run 40 miles from Athens to Union Point.
The Firefly route offers out-and-back options from 15 to 80 miles.
It is free and will be fully sagged and supported.
This will be the biggest event of the early spring cycling season.
We are asking folks to "sign up" on Facebook -- to help with planning.
75 riders have already signed in, and these numbers will be growing!  Stay tuned for more details - but sign up today.
