I hold a first degree in International Relations with Politics (Lancaster), a Master in International Conflict Analysis (Kent), a PhD in Politics (Nottingham), a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology (Nottingham) and a diploma in Journalism (Antenna, Athens). I have authored The Politics of Cyberconfict (2006), Power, Conflict and Resistance: Social Movements, Networks and Hierarchies with Andrew Robinson (2010), and I am the editor Cyber Conflict and Global Politics (2009). I have written on cyberconflicts of unrecognised and small states, and incidents relating to Russia and China. I am also contributing to work theorising ultraviolent subjectivities in cyberspace, examining conflict analysis and war coverage of crises in global hotspots and exploring the potential of ICTs and network forms of organization for social movements, resistance and open knowledge production. I am currently writing on different aspects of social media particularly focusing on the political, social and cultural implications. |
