Todd Heugh was named the head coach of the Red Hawks in June 2011 after coaching the boys and girls varsity soccer teams at Rochester High School from 2000-2011. Coach Heugh was a player at Athens from 1986-1989. He played for a final four team in 1988 and was a member of the 1989 State Championship team. After graduating from Athens he went Eastern Michigan University where he was a member of the soccer team from 1990-1991. Heugh transferred to Wayne State University and graduated in 1996 with a degree in education.
Coach Heugh began his high school coaching career in 1996. He coached the boys JV team at Troy High School and was a girls varsity assistant at Utica Ford II. In 2000 he began coaching the boys and girls soccer teams at Rochester High School. During his time with the Falcons, his teams won 7 league championships, 5 district championships and 2 regional championships. The 2002 boys’ team won the State Championship and the 2007 girls’ team was state runner up.
Heugh has been teaching in the Troy School District for 16 years. He currently teaches English at Larson Middle School. He lives with his wife Stephanie, a fifth grade teacher and their son Jake, a kindergartner at Wass Elementary School.
