We are so excited for the upcoming band season! Pre-camp is only 3 weeks away and we want all parents to get a jump start on our exciting year - it takes many people to run such an amazing program and with everyone’s help - magic happens!
To help make the magic happen, we need ALL band volunteers to register as a volunteer with WCPSS. Even if you registered as a volunteer last year, you must complete a new registration every school year. Band Camp Chaperones, Chaperones of all kinds (pre/post camp, after school, football games, competitions, parades), helpers of all kinds (meals, uniforms, pit crew, SmugMug, etc.) - ALL VOLUNTEERS must register with WCPSS every year.
We want all our parents to be registered WCPSS volunteers so we’ve tried to make it easy! Band parents can register conveniently at the ADHS library anytime the week of July 11 thru 16th during library hours- Mon. thru Thurs. 10am-9pm and on Friday & Saturday 10am-6pm. Go to the circulation desk, tell them you are a band parent who needs to register as a school volunteer and they will log you on to a WCPSS computer. Special thanks to Kerri-Ann Ruthven, the Athens Drive High School Media Specialist who made this registration time possible for us. WCPSS requires ALL volunteers to register online to be able to volunteer with ANY school activity. The sooner you register, the sooner you will be able to assist with the many upcoming band activities. *Please remember to bring your driver’s license to register.
You can also register at any year round school, if that’s more convenient for you. At this time, WCPSS does not offer internet registrations; registration must be completed on a WCPSS computer.
