Become a CAPS Sponsor

Friend of CAPS,

CAPS (the Committee for Atascadero Public Schools) is celebrating our Tenth Annual Evening for Education that will be held on August 27, 2016.

The Atascadero Unified School District budget is tight and CAPS grants have become more and more important in the education of our children. Over the last 9 years, CAPS has been able to give nearly $500,000 to AUSD teachers to fill the grant requests that they have written. Please consider making a cash donation or becoming a sponsor to help us raise funds and to help us zero base our event.

CAPS is totally a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, retired teachers and community members. We are a non profit organization and are associated with the Atascadero Greyhound Foundation. Our sponsors range from a member of the board of supervisors to local businesses and service organizations to private individuals. Being a CAPS sponsor is a high profile way to showcase your business and your support of Atascadero Unified School District and its teachers and students.

In 2015, CAPS was able to raise enough money to give $65,000 to the AUSD teachers to use in their classrooms. We filled 132 grant requests.  We bought 67 Chromebooks, 30 graphing calculators, lots of books, a cello, a clarinet, and PE equipment. We gave $2500 for 6th graders to be able to attend Science Camp and $1000 for Battle of the Books. We funded a drawing assembly for Creston and a Family Engineering night for Santa Rosa and purchased clay and pottery wheels for 3 schools. We funded 12 field trips to widely different places and much, much more.

Our webpage serves as our way of letting people know who we are and what we do. We prominently feature our supporters, sponsors and donors. You can learn about our grant program and see photos of grant recipients at www.atascaderocaps.org

I am including some further information on our sponsorship opportunities and benefits for this year. Please do not hesitate to call or email me for further information.
