What are ASWC projects?

Participants--both students and teachers--have collaborated on a variety of writing projects in the past, from poetry to podcasts and monologues to movies. These projects, which often include lesson plans and classroom suggestions, are made available to everyone as examples for everyone to use.

How can I create a project for ASWC?

The best way is to participate in one of the many professional development activities that are available. Many of these activities produce web sites, wikis, or blogs that are accessible by everyone. If you have an idea for a project or if you have a completed project that you'd like to share, contact your ASWC regional representative.

Can I see some examples of past projects?

We try to archive as many projects as we can. The Northern Lit eZine was published for two years starting in 2007. Polar Power, a companion project to the International Polar Year, was a good idea that garnered limited participation. Science Writing in the Heart of Denali has been an ongoing project since 2006. Check the ASWC Project Sites page for more projects. We'll archive other projects as they are created.
