The estimated program cost (depending on the exchange rate and the cost of airline fuel) is $4425. This includes three credits in-state undergraduate tuition, housing, round-trip airfare from Memphis to Madrid, transportation to and from the airport in Madrid, museum entrance fees, metro passes, transportation and accommodations for excursions, and orientation in Madrid.
The following are not included in the cost: passport fees ($135), transportation to and from the airport in Little Rock, any airline baggage fees, required course textbooks (~$40), university health insurance ($34), personal items, and food (except for those staying with a Spanish family where the cost of breakfast and one dinner a week is included).
There is a supplemental fee for those requesting home stay and for those requesting single-room accommodations in the student apartments (please see the section on “housing” for more details).
Undergraduate students can apply for $500 travel vouchers through the office of Study Abroad. Financial aid is also available to offset the cost of the trip.
