On September 18 and 19, Andrew Floyd from the the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs gave a much lauded talk on the specifics of writing a grant proposal. What should the writer be on the look out for? What pitfalls must be avoided? He introduced a number of helpful do's and don'ts, that will definitely help all researchers producer more successful grant proposals.
