Dr MENG Yusong joined the A*STAR National Metrology Centre (A*STAR NMC) of Singapore in 2011 as a Scientist and currently serves as Senior Principal Scientist and Director of the Electromagnetics, Time and Dimension Division where he is overseeing the metrology domains in Electricity and Magnetism, Length, Photometry and Radiometry, and Time and Frequency.
Dr. Meng is the Lead Technical Committee (TC) Chair-elect for the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) in 2025. He previously served as Chair of the APMP Technical Committee on Electricity and Magnetism (TCEM) from 2021 to 2024 and continued as Vice Chair from 2024 to 2025. He also contributes as a Peer Reviewer for other National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) and a Technical Assessor for the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) in high-frequency metrology including Time and Frequency. He has received several recognitions for his contributions to metrology and industry, including the APMP Technical Activity Award (2024), the APMP Iizuka Young Metrologist Award (2017), the national Technology for Enterprise Capability Upgrading (T-Up) Excellence Award (2015), a Best Student Paper Award (2017), and SAC Assessor Awards (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) in 2016, 2019, and 2022, respectively.
Dr. Meng received his B.Eng. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and URSI, and has authored/co-authored over 130 papers, 2 patents, and 7 technology disclosures (3 of them have been successfully deployed to industry).
