Our Community Garden at Westfield is certainly our biggest and what a lot of produce in this most difficult of seasons.

Congratulations to our pioneers who have worked like Trojans turning a neglected patch of rough ground outside the technology block into a productive community garden or learners in West Watford. Congratulations too or those who have used 'Employability through Horticulture to step onto prestigious Apprenticeship programmes in Hertfordshire and London. A real ether in the cap for Westfield Community Technology College.

We would like to thank the County too for running and administering  City & Guilds Employability and Personal Development (7546), which enables learners to move through 'Traineeship' at 16 into full level 1, 2 and 3 Work-Based Horticulture Apprenticeships. Providing opportunities for Hertfordshire's vocationally gifted.

Well done again lads and lasses!
