'Incrediball' Hydrangea Perennial - Huge Flowers
Hydrangea is a genus of about 100 species of flowering plants native to southern and eastern Asia (from Japan to China, the Himalaya and Indonesia) and North and South America. Hydrangeas produce flowers from early spring to late autumn. The flowers of Hydrangea are carried in bunches, at the ends of the stems. Each individual Hydrangea flower is relatively small. However, the display of color is enhanced by a ring of modified bracts around each flower.
In most species of Hydrangea the flowers are white, but in some species, can be blue, red, pink, or purple. In Hydrangea species the exact color often depends upon the acidity or alkalinity of the soil. Acidic soils produce blue flowers, neutral soils produce pale cream petals, and alkaline soils result in pink or purple.
This adaptable native plant produces huge flowers (as much as 12" across) is reliable and beautiful. Very cold hardy Incrediball blooms on new growth so even very cold winters won't keep it from blooming. The flowers are held upright on very sturdy stems, so they don't flop like 'Annabelle' will.
Massive flowers bloom in summer, and are held up by very sturdy stems. Prune back in late winter/early spring. Very hardy and reliable. Good for cut flowers. Native.

Flowers of Chrysanthemum
Flowers of Chrysanthemum
Chrysanthemums, often called 'mums', are a genus (Chrysanthemum) of about 30 species of perennial flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to Asia and northeastern Europe. The species of Chrysanthemum are herbaceous perennial plants growing to 50–150 cm tall, with deeply lobed leaves and large flowerheads, white, yellow or pink in the wild species. Modern chrysanthemums are much more showy than their wild relatives. The flowers occur in various forms, and can be daisy-like, decorative, pompons or buttons. This genus contains many hybrids and thousands of cultivars developed for horticultural purposes. In addition to the traditional yellow, other colors are available, such as white, purple, and red.
