Adding Teacher-Created Motivational Video to an ITS

This novel use of motivational interventions was cost-effective and easy to implement.  Study 1 showed promising results in the ability to alter student perceptions of the value of math by showing a short, teacher-generated video during a homework assignment. Study 2 showed that this intervention might also increase motivation and therefore homework completion rates, which over time could lead to improved learning.
