  • (Grinding wheels) A sander is a power tool used to smooth wood and automotive or wood finishes by abrasion with sandpaper. Sanders have a means to attach the sandpaper and a mechanism to move it rapidly contained within a housing with means to hand-hold it or fix it to a workbench.
  • A bonded abrasive product that is shaped into round wheels of varying size and width that are used on slow and high speed grinders. Grinding wheels are made from numerous abrasives including Aluminum Oxide, Silicon Carbide and Seeded Gel "SG" Ceramic abrasives.
  • A wheel used for cutting, grinding, or finishing metal or other objects, and typically made of abrasive particles bonded together
  • a wheel composed of abrasive material; used for grinding
  • Make a master copy of (a movie or record)
  • Acquire complete knowledge or skill in (an accomplishment, technique, or art)
  • Gain control of; overcome
  • becoming proficient in the use of something; having mastery of; "his mastering the art of cooking took a long time"
  • (mastered) down: understood perfectly; "had his algebra problems down"
  • the act of making a master recording from which copies can be made; "he received a bill for mastering the concert and making 100 copies"
  • creating thread
  • (spin) a swift whirling motion (usually of a missile)
  • (spin) revolve quickly and repeatedly around one's own axis; "The dervishes whirl around and around without getting dizzy"
  • The action or process of converting fibers into thread or yarn
  • the physical properties, phenomena, and laws of something; "he studied the physics of radiation"
  • (physicist) a scientist trained in physics
  • The branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. The subject matter of physics, distinguished from that of chemistry and biology, includes mechanics, heat, light and other radiation, sound, electricity, magnetism, and the structure of atoms
  • The physical properties and phenomena of something
  • the science of matter and energy and their interactions; "his favorite subject was physics"

Aluminum Oxide Grinding Wheel, White , 120-Grit, 6" x 3/4"
Aluminum Oxide Grinding Wheel, White , 120-Grit, 6" x 3/4"
Aluminum Oxide Grinding Wheels are a giant step above the conventional gray, hard, slow cutting wheels which tend to burn tools as the grinding surface becomes dull and glazed. Made of granulated aluminum oxide with a vitrified white bond, they allow the grains of abrasive to wear off, thus providing a consistently fresh grinding surface. Sharpening is faster, with less danger of taking the temper out of the tool. This 6" diameter, 120-grit wheel comes with bushings to reduce the arbor hole to fit 3/4", 5/8", and 1/2" shafts. Also available in 8".
