I am currently working as an Engineer/Scientist at EPRI. I recently completed my PhD in Systems Engineering at Boston University, where I was advised by Prof. Michael Caramanis. My research interests broadly span Optimization, Control and Learning in Networked Cyber-Physical Systems, with applications to Smart Grid and Electricity Markets. Currently, my work focuses on leveraging Distributed Energy Resources for providing Energy and Ancillary Services. At the power system-level, I am working on identifying and addressing the different market and operational inefficiencies within US based ISOs.
Before moving to Boston, I completed my MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, where I was studying on the Fulbright scholarship. I received my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan.
Apart from research, I have a keen interest in entrepreneurship and writing.
