In the long term I envisage the use of computer vision and machine learning techniques, powered by the increasing performance of computing hardware and other devices, with ever decreasing cost, to facilitate clinical management of the patient, in particular from the radiological and imaging aspect. This availability should not just be limited to developed nations and societies but also developing nations. Within this broad but focused mission statement I define my research interests.

Example of multimodal tomographic imaging data from The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA)

I'm interested in finding motivated and talented postgraduate students interested to work on various medical imaging projects, mainly focusing on tomographic (3D/cross-sectional) imaging modalities.

A background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Computer Science would be suitable, good programming skills and ability to visualise in 3D would be desirable, although if you are not confident but still have interest and willingness to learn I would consider you.
