We are pleased to announce our September 2016 meeting:

Hybrid Heat Pump Systems

 Presentation Abstract:

This lecture will explain the operation and application of hybrid heat pump systems.  We will discuss comparisons in hybrid vs. classic heat pump systems, energy efficiencies for heating & cooling, using hybrid heat pumps for LEED points, and other benefits of using hybrid heat pumps.  

 Learning Objectives:

1.            Understand COP and EER ratings for heat pump systems

2.            Understand how hybrid heat pumps are able to increase COP vs. Traditional heat pump systems

3.            Become familiar with the benefits of using hybrid heat pumps

 Speaker:             Raoul Gautreau, P.E.

 Raoul Gautreu graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1984 with a degree in Engineering.  In 1989, Raoul joined Trane and attended their six month HVAC training program in LaCrosse, WI. Upon graduating he was assigned to the Toronto District office and spent 16 years in the Southern Ontario construction market.  He held several positions during this years at Trane including Design Build and Global Accounts Department where he was involved with projects in the US, Europe, Asia and South America.  He left Trane in 2004 to pursue challenges within the HVAC energy efficiency field.  He is now the Director of Business Development for the CGC Group.  Raoul has conducted over 500 presentations throughout North America to engineering and architectural firms demonstrating the energy efficiencies of the hybrid heat pump system.

 This presentation has been approved for 1 PDH.
