Commercial and Industrial HVAC equipment supplier in Upstate New York has an opening for an Outside Sales Engineer in the Buffalo, NY territory, focused on aggressively promoting, selling and specifying Dynamic Product Solutions (DPS) products to an assigned list of Mechanical Engineers, Owners and Mechanical Contractors.

 

Job Responsibilities Include :

·         Increase DPS sales opportunities by generating engineer basis of design specifications for DPS products

·         Increase DPS sales opportunities by developing owner preference for DPS products

·         Sell DPS products to an exclusive selected list of mechanical contractors

·         Increase DPS market presence through active participation in industry related organizations such as ASHRAE, ASHE, etc.

·         Support/work with other DPS sales staff to sell more engineered products

 

The Successful Candidate will:

·         Daily engage mechanical engineers by providing them with training and competent technical data regarding products, design consultation and application assistance - including visits to mechanical engineers offices.

·         Engage owner accounts to generate preference for DPS products

·         Prepare bids/quotes to be used by all sales staff for assigned engineer/owner accounts

·         Prepare/supervise/review submittals where appropriate for assigned engineer/owner accounts

·         Coordinate with DPS manufacturers to increase sales

·         Collaborate with other sales staff to increase engineered products sales

 

Qualifications:

·         Mechanical Engineering degree preferred

·         At least five (5) years of experience direct selling, marketing or designing HVAC products

·         Technical Product Knowledge

·         Strong Customer Relationship building skills

·         Proven Job Management skills

·         Strong Computer skills

·         Effective Sales and Marketing skills
