Medical Signal Processing

The ElectroCardioGram (ECG), is the signal of heart’s electrical potential. In this research, the ECG signal has been analyzed from mathematical point of view and characteristics of the signal has been derived. Moreover, the noise reduction of ECG signal has been addressed. The significant noises that contaminate the ECG signal are Baseline Wander noise and 50 Hz power line interface. To eliminate the noises, the digital FIR filters was designed according to specifications of noises.
