Bio

Ashish Agarwal is an Associate Professor and Fayez Sarofim & Co. Centennial Fellow in Information, Risk and Operations Management Department at the McCombs School of Business, Univerity of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining UT Austin, Ashish obtained his PhD in Information Systems from Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.  He also holds a Bachelors in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai (India), and an MS in Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include digital advertising, social media, fintech, digital platforms and artificial intelligence. His papers have been accepted in several leading conferences and journals in information systems, accounting and marketing, including Management Science, Information Systems Research, Accounting Review and Journal of Marketing Research. He serves on the editorial board for Management Science and Service Science. Ashish is the recipient of Informs Sandra Slaughter Early Career Award in 2018.
