Bill was elected to the Board of Education in 2003. He is a graduate of Ash Grove High School and has an Masters of Business Administration degree from Missouri State University.  Bill is the manager of Hood’s Service Center and his wife, Cindy, is a teacher. They have three daughters.  Emily is a graduate of Ash Grove and attends MSU.  Stefani and Alli are students in Ash Grove High School.  Bill and Cindy’s grandson, Leeden, is part of the Parents as Teachers Program.




Jeremy Willmon, Vice President

Jeremy moved to Ash Grove in 2003 when he married Kelsey and they bought their first house on Prairie Lane.  Soon after moving to Ash Grove, he volunteered with the local fire department and came up through the ranks and became the fire chief.  As he was involved with the local community, he was asked to serve on the City of Ash Grove board of adjustments where he is currently the vice chairman of the board.  Jeremy has three kids that go to Ash Grove and who are active in everything.
When the citizens of the Ash Grove School District elected Jeremy to the board, he promised that he would ensure a strong future for the district by supporting the needs of the students and focusing on improving the district's fiscal responsibility to the tax payer.

Robert (Bob) was elected to the board in 2016. He is an Ash Grove graduate. He has been married to Christina for twenty years. They have two children, Emily, who is a fifth grader and Luke, who is a first grader. Bob has worked in the car business for eighteen years and currently has his dealers license. He also farms and has other business interests. 



Christy Birch, Member

Christy has lived in Ash Grove for almost 20 years.  She moved here right after college to marry a man from Ash Grove and raise their children here. She has two children who have been in the district since the 05-06 school year, when they were in Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten.  Christy has worked in healthcare for 22 years; 20 of that in psychiatric services. She is passionate about mental health issues. 




Michael Gray, Member

Mike was elected to the Board in 2014. He is a graduate of Ash Grove Schools. He is a licensed Land Surveyor for the family business in Ash Grove and his wife, Amanda, is a teacher in the Willard School District.  He has two sons in the Ash Grove School system.




Jerry Morton, Member

Jerry was elected to the board in 2014.  He and his family have lived in the Ash Grove community for 10 years.  Jerry has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master of Education degree from Graceland University.  He is employed by the Republic R-III School District where he teaches Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry classes in addition to acting as the head coach for the high school varsity wrestling team.  Jerry’s wife, Amy, works as a pediatric Occupational Therapist for a local school district.  The Mortons have two children who attend Ash Grove schools at the elementary level.




Jeana Scroggins, Member

Jeana is a 21 year resident of Ash Grove and an avid Pirate fan.  She has invested in the community in a variety of ways over the years, including AG Technology Committee, Soulfire Backpack Food Program, Annual Back to School giving events, and recently, AG Care to Learn chapter.  She has worked as the Office Manager for Advantage Therapy for 25 years, often providing internship and employment for Ash Grove alumnus in the field of occupational and physical therapy.  Jeana's family is extremely important to her and she is proud to say that her children hold important positions in their communities, including a law enforcement officer, nurse, teachers, and coaches.  Some of Jeana's favorite memories are cheering on the Pirates whether at football, basketball or volleyball games, and cooking breakfast on Sunday's for her church family at Soulfire Ministry.
