ASGARD Math 2017

A Scandinavian Gathering Around Remarkable Discrete Mathematics

University of Oslo, April 27 - 28, 2017

The ASGARD Math meetings are informal two-day meetings aimed at facilitating communication and interaction between mathematicians interested in discrete mathematics and related fields. These meetings take place every year during the spring.

Spencer Backman (Universität Bonn) - Graph Fourientations and the Tutte polynomial
Geir Dahl (Universitetet i Oslo) - Alternating sign matrices and related polyhedra
Trygve Johnsen (Norges Artiske Universitet) - Demi-matroids and chains of block codes
Kaie Kubjas (Aalto University) - Geometry of nonnegative and positive semidefinite rank
Fatemeh Mohammadi (University of Bristol) - Generalized permutohedra from probabilistic graphical models
Bernt Ivar Utstøl Nødland (Universitetet i Oslo) - Local Euler obstructions of toric varieties
Cordian Riener
(Universität Konstanz - Norges Artiske Universitet) - Bounding and computing equivariant Betti numbers of symmetric semi-algebraic sets
