How Fingerprints Started

Fingerprints was started in Fall during the 2009-2010 school year, led by the Writing Committee who saw a need for a creative outlet and sharing of poems, short stories and photos with the help of the Photography Club.

Initially, there was a theme that would help unify each edition, but "Fingerprints" is open to any topic since inspiration happens everywhere!

A contest was held in early Winter 2009 to help choose a title.  Many ideas were submitted, and all students were encouraged to vote for their favorite 10 titles.  2nd grader William Gates thought "Fingerprints" best represented our school for our individuality, creative talents and "shows that everyone is unique, like a fingerprint."
