Middle School Day is run by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Volunteer at the ASCE booth!

Middle School Day exposes middle school girls to the amazing opportunities that Engineering and the STEM fields have to offer. Help us spread the word about engineering by volunteering at this awesome event. The event will be on mid-semester break (March 6th).

Scott Hall Tour

Join us in touring the construction site of Scott Hall on Friday, March 20th at 3:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to see what is going on in what will be the newest addition to the Carnegie Mellon University campus. All ASCE members are invited, but we highly encourage sophomores to attend this event.

The tour should take about an hour. Hard hats will be provided, but please wear closed toed shoes and long pants. Indicate your interest by signing up through this link. A maximum of 30 people can be accommodated so sign up soon!

Please join us this Wednesday, March 4, at 4:30 pmin the Tung Au Lab (PH 107E) for an ASCE general body meeting.

The meeting will include an internship panel to answer questions about searching for work and what to expect while on the job. 

You can also pick up or buy your ASCE t-shirt at the meeting! 

The meeting is the last opportunity to sign up for the falling waters trip scheduled for April 23rd. The price is discounted to $25, so please bring cash.

REMINDER: Graduate students please bring your ASCE ID for entrance.

Structural Design Dinner Talk at Penn Brewery, 22 Mar 2012

The ASCE Structural Engineering Institute and the ASCE Architectural Engineering Institute is having a joint dinner talk on "Concrete Shell Roofs: Designing with Builder's Mentality" This will be a great time to socialize with the professionals and also learn about this interesting topic. 

Time: This Thursday 3/22, Social Hour 5:30 PM | Dinner 6:30 PM | Presentation 7:30 PM 
Location: Penn Brewery Restaurant (Eisenhalle) | 800 Vinial Street, Pittsburgh, PA 1521 
Cost: $10/ person for students

All Undergrads are invited!

Several members from the Younger Members Forum of Pittsburgh are coming to answer any questions you may have about the Civil Engineering Private industry here in Pittsburgh. The questions can range from job hunting to working on Civil Engineering Projects.
