Hello and welcome to my website!

I am currently working as a Research Staff Member at HRL. Previous to that I worked as a data scientist at a startup company named Social Intelligence. I received my PhD in September 2014 from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. During that time I worked under
Prof. B.S. Manjunath at the Center for Bio-Image Informatics. My thesis was in bioinformatics, primarily focused on spatial statistics methods to describe rat hippocampal neurons and retinal astrocytes. My research interests broadly lie in the fields of pattern recognition and machine learning.

I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and have played various percussion instruments (predominantly tabla, and now learning surdo and conga) since early 2003. I also enjoy hiking in the
beautiful mountains of Santa Barbara.

Please contact me for my resume.
