I am an economist whose research addresses various dimensions of economic develoment, with a focus on formal political economy mechanisms.

In 2016, I joined the Department of Economics of Université Laval. Before that, I spent 18 months at the Department of Government in Harvard.

I received my PhD in 2015 from EHESS, at the Paris School of Economics.

  • the PIEP conference in Harvard on April 9th, where I will present ou paper with François Seyler "The end of slavery in Brazil: Escape and resistance on the road to freedom."

Benjamin Tremblay-Auger will also present our paper "Building Reputation: Proxy Wars and Transnational Identities," joint with Marion Mercier, at the Political Economy Theory Lunch at Stanford GSB, on Friday, Jan. 21st, à 12pm PST.
