Art Exists! asbl is a Belgian non-profit association devoted to the promotion of contemporary music. We organize concerts or give some logistical help to concert managers, artists and producers.
We began our activities in 1992 with the publication of a newsletter.
Between 1994 and 1997, we organized numerous concerts in Brussels and Tervuren featuring postmodern composers with artists like Leonardo Anglani, Mikhaïl Bezverkhny, Stéphane De May, Mireille Gleizes, Denis-Pierre Gustin, Charles Kleinberg, Michael Kugel, Sarah Mouradoglou, Nuove Musiche (dir. Eric Lederhandler), Yves Storms, Ronald Van Spaendonck amongst others.
Since 2004, we support the Festival « Le Plaisir » in Ixelles with artistic direction (by Michel Lysight), presentation of the works and pay-roll management of the musicians. We re-invited some of these artists, but also Jean-Michel Alexandre, Alfama Quartet, Bruxellensis Quartet, Elisabeth Deletaille, Jean-Marc Fessard, Marc Grauwels, Mendelssohn Ensemble, Eliane Reyes, Sanza Quartet, Siwy Quartet, Uyttenhove Ensemble (dir. Danielle Baas) and Françoise Vanhecke.
