This year's camp weeks will have themes including:
Video Camp - Over 8 days, make your props, help write the script, and put on a show to be video taped. Plus our horse rides, swimming and games. Ages 5-17.
Come back for an outdoor movie night to watch with your family and pick up your finished DVD.
1 session=July 21-24 and July 28-31, 2015.
Movie night will be scheduled with the participants for a few weeks later in August.
Optical Illusion Confusion - Have fun with science, art and optical illusions, along with our horse rides, swimming and games. Ages 8-14.
Monday through Thursday, June 29 - July 2
Crafty Connections - For those more into building, stringing, and gluing. You will create with clay, recycled objects, and even edible art materials. Plus, of course, horse rides, swimming and games. Ages 5-10.
3-days, 4 hours/day, Wednesday through Friday, June 24-26
Fine Arts - For those into really improving their painting and drawing skills, along with, of course, horse rides, swimming and games. You will have some fine artworks suitable to be framed for a final art show reception for your parents. Save them to enter the February youth art show at the Mistlin Gallery! Ages 9-16.
Monday through Friday, June 8 - 12
Puppetry - For the younger crowd. Create a variety of your own puppets and put on a show for your parents. Plus, of course, horse rides, swimming and games. Ages 5-10.
Tuesday through Friday Friday, August 4-7
Horse Camp - Have fun learning in depth about horse riding and care, then cool off with a swim or create a horse themed craft. Ages 7-17.
Session 1, May 27 & 28; Session 2, June 2-4

Video Camp--Includes creating a script with a Western horse theme, making props and stage decorations, acting in the video if you choose, plus Horse Riding, Games, Swimming, and Family Video Viewing Night after video has been edited.

Owner/director, Cheryl Brown, has a Bachelor's Degree in art history and a Master's Degree in Art Education. She also majored in animal science for a year at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where she took every horse class that was available, including English riding, horse husbandry, horse shoeing, and horse training. She also rode in the horse drill team, Hacienda Hi-Riders, which won ribbons for parades and was invited to the State Fair. She also served as a Jr. Counselor in the 4-H horse program.
Cheryl has over 15 years of teaching experience, plus several years camp experience through YMCA, Girl Scouts, and Christian church girls' camp. See "Director's Background" (link is to the right on this page) for more information.
