Adult Art

You've heard of paint night? This is your morning equivalent. And you've heard of the de-stressing results of adult coloring? But we can be so much more creative PLUS benefit the brain with doing new things. So come join us for the perks of participating in a stress free directed art project.  Sign up for the project that appeals to you such as painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking or pastels. Themes will be posted before registration. You will leave with a completed project for yourself or to gift. 

All art materials are provided plus healthy herb tea or hot chocolate to complete your self indulgence :)

Creative Afternoon

Kids Art 

Do you need a place to encourage you, where you are allowed to get messy, or just to find time for your own artistic explorations? Then come join us in our art studio and see what you can create with our large selection of materials. Choose from chalk and oil pastels, poster paints, paper collage materials, recycled materials, natural materials, and papier mache. You choose your own materials with 90 minutes to build, paint or draw with the help of idea resources including an art library, videos, how-to books and an on-site artist to help you with inspiration. Ages 6 and up.

$20  4-5:30 pm

We offer private or group lessons for children and ADULTS in ART and HORSEBACK RIDING to fit your schedule. We also now offer overnight lodging! 

NOTICE: About May our yard will be torn apart with landscaping changes. We are not sure how long it will take to be back to a good venue for parties. For now, we will not plan to book any events until we can see the finish line. 

Horse and art lessons will not be affected!

More Information

Our ranchette is located near Sylvan and Roselle Avenues in Modesto.

   All activities are by appointment except scheduled day camps.   

CLOSED SUNDAYS

Please call weekdays between 9 am and 5:30 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm     

Allergy Alert: Cats, dogs and other animals on premises. 

Day guests may not bring their own dogs on our grounds.


Facility Director

Owner/director, Cheryl Brown, has a Bachelor's Degree in art history and a Master's Degree in Art Education. She also majored in animal science for a year at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where she took every horse class that was available, including English riding, horse husbandry, horse shoeing, and horse training. She also rode in the horse drill team, Hacienda Hi-Riders, which won ribbons for parades and was invited to the State Fair. She also served as a Jr. Counselor in the 4-H horse program.

Cheryl has over 15 years of teaching experience, plus several years camp experience through YMCA, Girl Scouts, and Christian church girls' camp.  See "Director's Background" (link is to the right on this page) for more information.
