ARTIST STATEMENT

My work conveys the polyrhythmic identities striving to be heard, but especially to be seen. By concentrating on texture, line, shape and color, a thorough understanding of the relationship between visual arts and fashion is conveyed. Dramatic lines combined with vibrant colors make a strong contrast that brings richness into my artwork. Through a metamorphosis of textiles and designs, volume, movement, freedom and energy are created. A sense of completeness is achieved by attention to symmetry and balance in my illustrations, paintings, sculptures, and architectural and fashion photography. I create art that stimulates the imagination and challenges the intellect, propelling the viewer towards celestial heights where they can explore, discover and uncover their polyrhythmic identities through my work and films.
