Bangkok - the town of yellow shirts
Bangkok - the town of yellow shirts
This is the day of the 60th anniversary of the King's Accension to the Throne. The King was born on a Monday, Monday's colour is yellow (all the days of the week have a colour in Thai traditions), so the Royal colour in yellow, so there have been lots and lots of Thais in bright yellow. Pretty much every Thai person (in Bangkok at least) was wearing a yellow t-shirt on the actual anniversary (the day of this photo).
