Week 21
Week 21
21 weeks. Ay yi yi, people, time is flying. This was another late night photo because Rob didn't get home until 10. Hopefully something changes for the better with his work situation, otherwise he'll never see our kiddo awake during the week. Milestones this week: Rob started painting the color in the nursery. We started registering for classes at the hospital, so far just a second trimester class and a hospital tour. My labor buddy sent me the most adorable socks she knitted. I received our first cloth diaper in the mail (BumGenius Elements all-in-one one-size in Ribbit). And oh yeah... Rob felt the baby kick! Once I was able to see the baby kick from the outside, I knew Rob should be able to feel it. Two nights ago, he finally got to feel it. He said it felt like muscle spasms, which is technically true - they're just not my muscles. Thanks to my depressed immune system caused by the pregnancy, last week's cold turned into this week's sinus infection. I'm on antibiotics that have me feeling even more queasy than normal, but I am doing my best to power through it. That's been aggravating the asthma, and my fibro always seems ticked off these days. Living in my body is not so fun most of the time. In the past week I've seen my OB, my GP, and my endocrinologist. I've talked to all of them about my weight gain so far (six pounds) and how I would like to minimize the amount of weight I need to lose after giving birth for the sake of the fibromyalgia. The more I weigh, the more I hurt. They're all optimistic that I keep up with my eating habits and exercise, I can keep my weight gain within a healthy range. Hooray! I still feel like we have so much to do. We need to finish painting the nursery, decorate the nursery, register, get a crib and a car seat, sign up for childbirth classes, and probably many more things I can't even think of right now.
Kaitlyn Blanket
Kaitlyn Blanket
This photo is the best photo for an accurate view of the colors. Wrap the newest or soon-to-be baby in your life in this sweet, handmade blanket. The delicate stitches are beautiful and deceivingly sturdy. The stitch also provides warmth while the small spaces in the stitch provide an access for air creating a breathable blanket. This blanket is perfect for a baby shower or new baby gift. All of my items are originally made with a recipient in mind. That's how they are named. The Kaitlyn Blanket was made of my niece. (The original is pictured here.) My brother and sister-in-law decorated her nursery in purple tones. So, the original Kaitlyn Blanket was perfect for her. The Kaitlyn blanket sells for $46 and can be customized so you can choose a color to match the new baby's nursery or your favorite baby colors.
