Maisy's Book of Things that Go: A Maisy First Science Book
Let’s go! Maisy loves things that move. With the help of fun tabs, little readers can learn the simple workings of her favorite modes of travel.79% (8)
How does a sailboat sail? What makes the train wheels turn? Why does a hot-air balloon rise high in the sky? Like all small children, Maisy is curious about how things go. And with this truly delightful interactive book, readers not only find out some answers, they also have a part in the action—pulling tabs to make Maisy walk or pedal a bike, rock a boat on the waves or make sparks appear on a trolley cable. The final spread offers a special surprise: a big, bright pop-up that’s out of this world.
So I'm not sure I've mentioned this... but I'm going to be an aunt for the first time this spring. I recently finally got to put my hand on mama-to-be's tummy and feel a kick, so I'm pretty certain the little guy knows I'm going to be the greatest aunt he'll ever have ;) My sister-in-law wanted some maternity photos and I have never had the opportunity to take any so I was thrilled when we started discussing ideas and planning a shoot. We spent an entire afternoon at their beautiful home just outside of town (with PHENOMENAL natural window light pouring into nearly every room) taking photos and trying out ideas and talking baby details. It was absolutely lovely. She's so beautiful and has the most adorable pregnancy tummy I've ever seen! I feel like it was a pretty successful shoot considering my lack of maternity photography experience, and something I would love to do more of. Life is still insanely busy for me. I'm back in central Nebraska permanently, and in love with so many things and people right now I feel like I could burst. By spring my boyfriend will be living here and we'll be living in our very own house nestled in a sleepy little farming town. Photography should pick up sometime around then also ;)XV G-36x
Day 100: "The end has started. They have arrived to the headquarters and their friends couldn't do nothing. Our four heros were out when the Army localized the base and sent all its firepower. Rounds crossing the air. The only sound that is heard is the constant rattle of the guns. Caps falling incessantly to a floor covered with rivers of blood. Three guys stand in a little emplacement, resisting 'till death. They keep the finger on the trigger, defeating their nemesis one by one in a endless skirmish. Xan, Blizzard, Dexan and Rag. The last survivors of the XV faction." /*Comment if inspired =P*/
As far as Georgie is concerned, everyone has a "thing"See also:
The thing about poodles is that Georgie Bishop hates to walk them.
The thing about Jeanie the Meanie is that she would rather write on her shoe than help Georgie with their Abraham Lincoln project.
The thing about Andy's nonna is that she kisses Georgie's cheeks and doesn't speak one word of English.
The thing about Georgie's mom is that she's having a baby—a baby who will probably be taller than Georgie very, very soon.
The thing about Georgie . . . well, what is the thing about Georgie?
