Welcome to my personal webpage!
I am a Behavioral Economist with 13 years of academic and non-academic research experience. I am currently serving as the Head of Behavioral Economics at Thames Water Utilities (the largest utility company in the UK).
I have solid history of collaborations with private companies, governments, and international development organizations to tackle research projects with significant social policy impact. I consulted KfW, UNDP, IOM, WHO, the Armenian Government, and the Chinese Tax Authorities. I also collaborated with charity organizations such as Zinapah (dealing with servicemen wounded/dead in Armeno-Azerbaijani wars and their families) and Scope (disability charity in the UK and Wales).
My papers are published in high-impact peer reviewed journals in Economics, Psychology, and Sociology.
Before joining Thames Water Utilities I worked as a tenured lecturer at Cardiff Business School (United Kingdom), associate/full professor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (China), assistant professor at Tianjin University of Economics and Finance (China), and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany). I received a doctoral degree from Ca' Foscari University of Venice and a double master's degree from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
I am originally from Armenia and after travelling half of the world I still believe that it's one of the best countries on Earth.
