The Future of Men's Gymnastics Programs - We Need Your Help!

We need your help to save NCAA Men's Gymnastics.

As many of you know, the university-level gymnastics programs are quickly disappearing as a result of reduced funding, Title 9 requirements, and realignment of funds toward higher revenue-generating sports, such as football. For the Men's Gymnastics Programs, this is an especially difficult time as only a very small number of schools offer this program (fewer than 12), and at least one (Temple University) has announced that their men's program will be discontinued after this school year.

This past weekend, the Tigers had the opportunity to compete at Temple University as part of the Philadelphia Boys Invitational. As part of that meet, the families were invited to attend an NCAA Men's Gymnastics competition on Saturday night. This was truly a wonderful experience for the boys, many of whom have aspirations of competing at that level. Unfortunately, this may not be an option if the schools continue to cut these programs at the current rate.

The Temple University Men's Gymnastics program has begun a campaign to raise awareness and, hopefully, persuade the Administration to continue this program next year, providing opportunities for our children, and others in this Region, to continue on with their own training, possibly even competing at the national and international levels. As members of this community, we ask that you review the information on Temple University's program and their many successes over the past 88 years, as well as sign the petition on the Temple University Men's Gymnastics website (http://www.templegymnastics.com/ and http://www.thepetitionsite.com/798/504/911/save-temple-university-mens-gymnastics/#sign). Please consider purchasing the Temple University Men's Gymnastics calendar (or contribute in other ways) to help raise funds to save the program.

Thank you for taking the time to sign the petition and support the men's gymnastics programs!
