Scholarship Awarded in
2012 & 2013
One outstanding student has been awarded an academic scholarship in both the 2012 & 2013 school year for her proven record of continuing achievement. We wish her well in her college experiences as she pursues her career goals.
Kelly Kowal, Arlington Heights, IL -- $1500 Scholarship for 2012 & 2013, $1500 Scholarship Renewed for 2013/2014
Kelly has completed her first year of college at the University of Wisconsin –Platteville, with a 3.4 GPA. She is pursuing an Agricultural Business /Communications & Marketing curriculum. She realizes that many doors of opportunity can be opened with an agricultural major, whether studying prices for new genetically modified corn or figuring out how the cold weather will affect vegetable prices.
Kelly has been working very hard and is in the upper 30% of her class. She is also involved in several extracurricular programs, CERES, Ag Business Club and various volunteer opportunities with St. Thomas of Villanova Parish and making blankets for Northwest Community Hospital well as her summer job at Knupper's.
This scholarship will, again, assist her with the cost of her education for the upcoming school year and allow her to continue to focus on her studies.
