Relocating Clarendon's Law Office of David Shurtz
Relocating Clarendon's Law Office of David Shurtz
Among the numerous small businesses on Wilson Boulevard which are being forced to relocate from Clarendon to make way for condos is the "Law Office of David Shurtz." The law office has temporarily relocated to Highland Street, specifically to the former location of the temporary Clarendon post office. While the original Clarendon post office will survive the construction along Washington Boulevard due to its status as a historical site, the shops and small businesses on the 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard will soon be replaced by multi-story condominiums. Aside from being a sole-proprietor personal injury law office, the "Law Office of David Shurtz" was probably best known by locals for its window displays featuring the political art works of John Aaron, formerly a Clarendon resident. John Aaron's art studio was uprooted from Clarendon approximately a year ago under the same pressures of "community development." Photo by Kevin Borland.
