Youth Prevention / Diversion

AATP’s Youth Diversion Program is a self-contained eight hour education program for juveniles referred by probation officers, schools or privately. The Youth Diversion Program classes are conducted by a Master’s Degree licensed therapist.

An appropriate referral to Youth Diversion would be:
  • Misdemeanors - misdemeanor trespass, shoplifting, criminal damage, assault, DUI-Minor in Consumption, Minor in Possession, Possession of Illicit Drugs, Domestic Violence;
  • Status Offenders - curfew, possession of tobacco;
  • Incorrigible Behavior - runaway, truancy, incorrigible referral.
AATP’s Youth Diversion Program is held on Saturday once a month from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Mesa Central Police Department.
