Congrats to our ARHS YoungArts Award Winners!

ARHS is pleased to announce that Sasha Yakub '16 and Nick Hennessy '16 have both been designated as YoungArts national award winners for 2016.  From the YoungArts website:

From more than 12,000 applications—the largest number to date—819 young artists from 42 states have been selected for their outstanding work and accomplishments across the literary, visual, design and performing arts.
Finalists are also eligible to become U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, as YoungArts is the exclusive nominating agency for this high honor for artistically talented graduating high school seniors.

opened the 2015-2016 Theater Company season!
A contemporary and energetic look at how we experience the relationship between those two giant words in the present day.  Called a "thought-churning, deeply poignant play" by the New York Times, it makes its high school premiere here at ARHS.

ARHS Chorale Documentary nominated for New England/Boston Emmy Award!

The winners of WGBY's "Together in Song" choral competition had a documentary made on the group, which can be seen here.


Employing nearly 200 students on stage and off, the ARHS production was a sweeping success. A photo gallery is here.

Award-Winning Alumni Playwrights Come Back to ARHS!
Pulitzer awardees Annie Baker '99 (2014 winner) and Madeline George '92 (2014 runner-up) came back to ARHS to chat with our students and the public at an event co-sponsored by the Emily Dickinson and the ARHS Theater Company.  (And - they said hello to our good friend Silas, below...)
