The digital home of Andrew Ryan Enyart
Please, consider making a small donation to help support my ongoing effort to develop free and open-source artwork.
Welcome to my home on the web. My name is Andrew Enyart and I am a computer graphics artist with an insatiable urge to learn as much as I can about anything and everything.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2005 with a BFA in Media Arts and Animation and currently am looking for a "real" job that allows me to use what I paid for. Currently, I work at The Home Depot down the street (in the paint department), but don't plan to make a career of it. It was only supposed to be my "just until I'm done with college job".
I am also the Creative Director for Sickplatypi.com. We offer various graphics services to bands. These services include cd cover design, logo design, photography, website development, and anything else you can throw at us/me. I am co-founder of the company with my good friend Ben Leak. We were highschool bandmates (I played lead guitar and he was vocals). The business model is pseudo freelance and permits me to work full-time elsewhere, but business is starting to pick up and I might begin to freelance full-time (talk about an oxymoron).
My all time favorite thing to do, though, is contributing free artwork to the online community. I remember when I saw my first wallpaper used as the default background on Symphony OS's website (they also used it as the default wallpaper for a while)---I realized why people contribute time to open source. That sense of fulfillment is matched by few other moments. Then, when my icons became the highest ranked item on KDE-look.org, I thought, "How cool is that!" If I could retire tomorrow and just work on free artwork---I would be content. But, I can't retire, and haven't had much time lately to contribute, so...crap.
I hope you enjoy your visit and please watch your step---I just washed the floors.
