Meeting for Public Input on Alternative Energy
 in Navajo County

Navajo County will be holding a meeting to seek public input into a proposed Ordinance that would serve to regulate alternative energy in the unincorporated areas of Navajo County.

When: Wednesday, April 14, 2010
 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Northland Pioneer College
 Performing Arts Theater
 Silver Creek Campus, Snowflake

The purpose of this meeting is to seek input from citizens, groups, stakeholders, etc., into the issues and considerations that Navajo County should attempt to address in the preparation and ultimate adoption of an Ordinance that addresses alternative energy production (with the primary focus being on commercial Wind and Solar power generation).

Representatives from EN3 Professionals, LLC will be in attendance to conduct
the meeting and to take down any comments. (EN3 is under contract with
Navajo County to assist with the process of drafting the ordinance.)

  and Process for Complaint Management
• Cost-benefit Analysis to Navajo County of Proposed Project
• Feasibility Assessment, Transmission Capacity, PPA
• Siting Guidelines

Water Conservation:
  • Water Consumption/Hydrogeologic Monitoring for
    Concentrating Solar Power Plants
  • Prohibiting Wet Cooling/ Dry and Hybrid Cooling Requirements
    for Concentrating Solar Power Plants
• Lighting
• Road Construction
• Public Safety
• Signage
• Fencing
