Sunday 18th September 2011. The Attraction.
Sunday 18th September 2011. The Attraction.
This was taken along the Quayside in Norwich. Martin wanted to go rowing on the broads today, he said that it's been too long since he's been in a boat and I have to agree, it has been. Unfortunately I was very tired from yesterday's excitement, and the 2am drive home, and not getting to sleep till 3am. So despite his best efforts I slept in for quite a long time this morning and because Martin had to get a train back to Leeds this evening it was too late to head out anywhere by the time I was up and ready. Luckily I live very close to the city and the river, so we went for a riverside walk instead. I love water. I love being around it, on it, in it. I loved growing up in Suffolk by the coast and the rivers. Learning to sail, rowing and swimming in the North Sea. There is something about it that captivates me. I like to think some of this passion has rubbed off on Martin. Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you can't help but be drawn to water if you grow up where we did :) Today: Lazyday. Martin. Norwich. Salmon. Spoons. Hot chocolate and whipped cream.
Blitz Ghost - Rampant Horse Street - V2
Blitz Ghost - Rampant Horse Street - V2
as in version 2, not as in V2 Rocket, Having looked at loads of old stuff, I got this right the first time, then deleted it, overwrote the files and I've done it again. so now it's right, if you get my drift. Anyway , Norwich Blitz Ghost Mashup with added 'doing my own head in" Debenhams or Curls or something on Rampant Horse Street (actually I think it was Woolworths), The second silliest street name in Norwich after "Upper Goat Lane", I'm sure there's a perfectly sensible reason for the names, this one is probably because of a pub called the Rampant Horse, which I would assume was a knocking shop (it was hotel, Nick Groves mentioned this earlier - look down as you walk in Debenham's main door, there's a horse rearing up in mosaic in the floor. i don't think there was a pub called the Upper Goat. Certainly hope not. I digress, I'm tired, I messed this up once or twice, so I'm going to have a beer and not do any more for a bit. Original Photo courtesy of Archant.
