About me.

I am a mathematician working at the
Aalto University, Helsinki area, Finland. I have PhD, MSc and BSc from degrees from University of Helsinki, where I studied between 1993 and 2005. My main fields of expertise are complex analysis (geometric function theory), elliptic partial differential equations and computer aided methods in mathematics education. I have been the leader of the computer aided mathematics teaching research group at the Department of Mathematics and since 2006.

I am also interested in applications of mathematics, computers and programming. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching at the university level, concerning several topics in pure and applied mathematics. I have supervised several thesis (both for Aalto University and University of Helsinki). In addition, I have been the principal investigator in several national and international research projects, and a contributor in many others.

Specialties: Geometric function theory, elliptic PDEs, computer aided mathematics, e-learning in mathematics.
