The journey begins in Seattle.
Our flight (the first of three flights to take us to the final destination of Venice, Italy) left from the Seattle airport before 7 am on October 22, so we drove over the border from Vancouver the day before and stayed in a hotel overnight. Unfortunately, though, the fellow at the Delta ticket counter didn't know how to work his computer and printed out the wrong boarding passes and caused us to miss our flight out of Seattle, and consequently our two connecting flights as well. We lost one of the two days we were scheduled to be in Venice for because of this. For compensation (which we had to fight for, as the majority of the many Delta employees we dealt with didn't want to compensate us at all for their error -- hell, it took over two hours before they were even able to rebook all of the flights we missed!), we got bumped up to business class for one of our flights, got vouchers for $100 each, and got to wait in the executive room at the airport for four hours until our flight (at our insistence, not theirs). We were at the airport about eight hours in total from the time we arrived until the time we were on a plane. A rocky start to the holiday, to say the least.

Canon 5D Mark II Canon 24-105 f/4.0L IS I wasn't 100% satisfied with the outcome of the other one so I did another. I think I did 3 total panoramics yesterday while I was there. I feel this one is better mostly because Mt. Rainier is clearer. Of course, this is best viewed large.
