Introduction

With several schools and teachers gaining access to tablets for use in the classroom, it is important to understand the potential these new tools have to assist teachers in assessing student learning.  When teachers get these tools in their hands for the first time, many don’t know where to start.  This project aims to provide teachers/technology leaders/SALs with a resource that contains information on how particular apps for tablets can be used to assess student learning from a variety of perspectives.  From teachers who only a personal device, to teachers with access to a full class set, we hope to provide information applicable to teachers in the entire K-12 setting.
