The Boy Who Wouldn't Go to Bed (Picture Puffins)
This boy is not ready to go to sleep, so he revs up his little red car and drives away into a magical, softly-muted land filled with larger-than-life toys. But all the toys are too tired to play, and when the toy musicians play a lullaby, it puts the boy's car to sleep. How will he get home now? Luckily, someone is still awake, and she's on her way to pick the boy up and tuck him (finally!) into bed. This humorous, clever story is sure to become a bedtime favorite.

I'm Putting This Baby to Bed
I'm Putting This Baby to Bed
Well, you guys know how bound and determined I am to get through this 365. I haven't missed one single day of posting all year, no matter where on the planet I was. Even if I had to steal my husband's laptop or finagle my iPad to post, I posted. But as of today...I'm taking that pressure off, and putting it to bed so to speak. Barb made a comment about it being a monkey on my back, and she was sooo right. With the possibility of moving looming (we find out hopefully by Monday), I have very little time for commenting, and I can't stand posting and not commenting. Soooo...I am going to *try* and still do the ODC challenges every day (but not freak out if I miss it, although that first miss is going to be painful LOL!), but I'm not going to post them to the group or thread because I just don't feel right about doing that and not returning the love to you guys who are always consistent with commenting. I'll miss the interaction for sure - for those of you who haven't friended me on FB, that's a good place to stay in touch as well as we all know. I'll try and pop in here from time to time and do some commenting as I'll really miss seeing everyone else's interpretation of the challenges, but dern, I just need a break for a bit to catch my breath and wrap my head around what is getting ready to happen. Ciao! For ODC's challenge: BED ~ 257/365 ~

Go to Bed, Fred: A Good Night Book & Muppet Puppet
As the sun goes down and night falls, in kids' rooms all across the country, the same scene is enacted: settling the children down and reading a story. Combining Alison Inches's crackling language with a new Muppet puppet from Jim Henson Productions, Go to Bed, Fred is a perfect good-night storybook that comes with its own custom-designed Muppet made of blue plush, with white googly eyes and a shock of bright yellow hair, sized to fit an adult's hand—which means that Fred himself can read and act out the story. Suitable for ages 6 months and up.
