Finally, all the art got framed
Whew. I have collected thin bamboo frames for years and I had a lot of other small thin frames. In order to tie it all together, I used similar frames and painted them all the same shade of white. From left to right - 1. Two Woody Crumbo deer prints (from Stacey) 2. Vintage "glow in the dark" picture of a dog on a swing 3. Vintage flea market find - photo collage of woman with deer 4. Chinese guache painting - crazy rabbits (Nico will be born in the Chinese Year of the Rabbit) 5. Small print from the Beatrix Potter series, Squirrel Nutkin. Middle row: 6. Great grey owl print by Tracy Bull, Happy Owl Glassowrks 7. Hand paper cut (yes, ti's all eensy weensy cut out paper) of a procession of rabbits, chickens, deer, etc. 8. Large Woody Crumbo fawn print (again, Stacey) 9. Framed edge of a vintage hand-embroidered pillowcase(?) with hand crocheted lace edge. Bottom row: 10. Vintage 1956 print of Chinese man fishing. Over the top of it, I placed a vintage wood cut of a little boy and girl. Just a sort of random collage thing I did. 11. Uncle Buck portrait - by Angela Rossi, of BeatUp Creations, Los Angeles 12. Aunt Doe, by Angela Rossi 13. Yeti family (hard to see but it's a man and woman Yeti standing holding a baby Yeti and a little heart floating above their heads. Baby Brother [106/365] - I guess he's not much of a baby anymore. This is my little brother, Kaynyn. At 14, he's the youngest in the family and will always be considered the baby. It's his grade 9 graduation in only a month! This evening, struggling for 365 photo ideas, I took a quick snapshot of him sitting on his bed, and to my amazement, he was SMILING. If you know my brother at all, you'd realize how much of a rare event this is. There's a one in 10,000 chance that he'll smile, especially when there is a camera present. So as for his name and the year at the bottom? Well, it's not likely we'll get another picture of him smiling any time soon, might as well document it! On a more random note... It's really cute listening to my brothers talk to their friends sometimes... I've overheard things like "My big sister is doing this thing called Project 365. She's always taking pictures of me." I think they look up to me, which is great... although I've been banned from tagging them on Facebook.
