AT4828 Missing .dll - Based on iTunes for Windows: Missing MSVCR80.dll

iTunes 11.1.4, Windows
I started to remove the Apple Software in the sequence recommended. But AMDS would not uninstall. The progress seemed to be going ok but when the progress marker appeared to reach to end it then goes into reverse and AMDS remains.

You might still be able to reinstall iTunes without uninstalling the Apple Mobile Device Service. If not, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567

I do not see any additional help beyond using the Un-install routine in Windows. I get the same result as the original question.
