Where Can I Find the Model Number for my Apple Product?

The model number for your product, usually beginning with "A," though sometimes "M" on older products, is printed on your product, either on the back or bottom. Find your product below to see where the model number is located.

iPhone, iPad or iPod

The model number is located on the back.

Apple Watch

Take the watch off of your wrist. On the back side of the watch, you will find two buttons to release the corresponding section of the band. Press the bottom one to release the bottom portion of the band. You can identify the bottom portion of the band as the bottom section has the size of the band (either "S" for small or "M/L" for medium/large) printed on it. While you are pressing the aforementioned button, slide the band out to the left or right, do not try to yank it straight out. Once the band is out, you should see the model number printed in small letters in the area where you took the band out.

The model number is located on the bottom, usually close to where the display connects to the bottom case.

Mac Desktops

The model number is usually located on the bottom. The Mac mini has it on the bottom, as do older iMacs. On the newer iMacs, as shown above, it is printed on the bottom of the "foot" (stand). On the Mac Pro, it is printed on the back rather than the bottom - on the ledge below the DVI port.

On the Mac Pro, the model number is printed on the ledge below this area
