About Me

ANGELA POLIDORO is a developmental editor specializing in genre fiction, particularly sci-fi/fantasy, romance, women's fiction, mystery, and young adult fiction. She has been a full-time freelancer for four years, during which time she has worked with both bestselling, beloved indie authors (including NYT-bestselling author Denise Grover Swank, USA Today-bestselling author Ava Miles, and Keira Montclair) and publishing companies. As a freelancer for Amazon's 47North imprint, she has worked with a prestigious list of authors, including Jeff Wheeler, J.D. Horn, Charlie Holmberg, Melissa Olson, and Jodi McIsaac. Her last in-house position was at Random House's Ballantine Bantam Dell imprint, where she edited a wide variety of commercial fiction.

As an editor, Angela addresses both big picture issues and minute details. She gives writers in-depth suggestions on how to fix problems with plot, structure, characterization, pacing, and more, and is also a pro at catching inconsistencies, repetitions, errors, and fixing clunky dialogue and prose. To her, there is nothing more satisfying than helping an author produce his or her dream book.

Before embarking upon her career as an editor, Angela earned a bachelor’s degree with high honors in English from the College of William and Mary and attended the Columbia Publishing Course in New York City.
