Amara followed the group across the battered bridge. “Maybe we should look for some smaller prey while we wait for Ayr. Things may be loud and scare away the easier meals by the time he’s on the scene.” Seca Edwards (luelli) nodded and raised her arms in the air. stretching before shed make any movements further. She dropped them down to check her phone, making sure the volume was off. Endless Winter. A.Y.R (ayr.bosatsu) Slams down onto the wooden post - nigh on crumbling it with his weight. "Muah hah. Bet you thought I'd miss this. Well, I almost did. Where's everyone else?" Folding his arms over his chest, he'd press his feet together, looking altogether more Ninja-like. Brekka Nightfire (brekka.nightfire) looks up to the three, eyes falling lastly up at Ayr, "Well. I sent ou the message.. and we didn't leave before waiting, yush" She nods, tying her bag (which lets say she has) for the hunt about her waist carefully, and makign sure her bolter was in place, "They can always catch up" She wisps her tail about and turns to the swamp Amara sighed at the fox’s voice. “There goes easy dinner…this –is- everyone Ayr, at least everyone who remembered to look at their phones today.” She glances behind her at the low trees surrounding them. “So what’s the plan? I don’t need new plants right now so we might not need to split up.” Endless Winter. A.Y.R (ayr.bosatsu) looks down upon them, stamping his foot on the splintered wood to encourage it to sag moreso. "Hnh! We'll go see what happened to the UAC Bunker, that's the important thing. See if there's any clues. After that we can just go find extra food or something. I do honestly wanna try my arm on a crocodile though. My last armour crumpled, but this.." He held his arm up, clenching it, "This..may work." Brekka Nightfire (brekka.nightfire) looks carefully over the surrounding swamp, "do you remember where the bunker -was-?" She hops up and down a bit, getting some pent up energy out-- being up high always made her playful, "I wouldn't mind seeing it" Amara looked at the arm with curiosity. She then hops down to the muck below, muttering, “It’s always croc genocide with you.” She paused to look around at the surroundings. “I believe the bunker was towards the southern area right? Or was it north?” Endless Winter. A.Y.R (ayr.bosatsu) clenches his fist tighter, staring at the hard covering on it. "Tch. I'll go south by myself. Brekka, put on some clothes. You look like you're going to a brothel." Sagging forward a bit he'd punch the timber, dissolving the last of it with a crunch of splinters and vaporized dust. "Ossu. I think it was to the left though. South..or isthat north...That way," pointing ()South)) he'd hop down. Brekka Nightfire (brekka.nightfire) takes a huffy, but admittedly still cute breath at Ayr, "I always dress liek this.." She smiles thinly, "I am not likely to get hurt, really" tail poking out playfully at him Endless Winter. A.Y.R (ayr.bosatsu) looks at her, "Pathetic!" came his voice - unfortunately - like a game announcer. "You can't take it! Triumph or Die!" Clenching his fist he'd crouch down and grab his bag of tricks, swinging it a few times before launching the bag of clothes at her full force, "You can't give it up! There's extra clothing in -there-." Amara climbs back up after jumping down as well as after a failed attempt to push Ayr off the stairs. "Since when are you buggin' about what she wears? Didn't she have heels and shorts last time we came out here?" Brekka Nightfire (brekka.nightfire) shrugs, head digging her hand through the bag curiously, "He has been keeping my protective gear on him lately.. " She hummsss lightly, "Saaafety... " voice singing lightly-- though she was pretty good at not getting hurt even though she looked like she should have broken her neck years ago Endless Winter. A.Y.R (ayr.bosatsu) gets shunted about a few times by Maras attempt to murder him. Or so he thinks. "Cause it's the swamp and she's gonna mess up her pretty clothes." Turning towards Mara he'd nod and gesture to brekka, "Exposed legs - easy to get cut. High heels - swamp water in feet. Overall diagnosis - yucky Brekka cat. Besides, bare skin's more easily cut or punctured by bugs, parasites or general cuts." Amara glances down at her exposed legs and bare arms. "Ahh really now. Well anything in that bag to remedy the problems you pointed out?" Brekka Nightfire (brekka.nightfire) digs in the back deeper, the clanking of several metal devices and other assorted items in the back, "Ummm. Honey.. did you take my stuff out to put crock hunting gear in here?" She pulls out several tazer looking devices.. a cattle prod, "I dun see my stuff in here. or enough of it to cover me" She smiles contently Endless Winter. A.Y.R
As you probably know if you have seen any of my photos recently, I've been doing quite a bit of wood-working. It occurred to me a few days ago that there was no particular reason I could not combine my passion for wood carving with my passion for watercolours. Long before wood-working, long before photography, my trained skill in art has been watercolours. I came about it after formal training in calligraphy, which often uses watercolours. I also have a very strong passion for modern art. I've always loved taking very traditional crafts and using them with modern designs and materials. For this piece I did the following: Cut down a piece of unfinished maple, planed it, sanded it and prepared it. I then stained it a natural stain, with the intention of doing a totally different project with it. Decided that project would be better suited to a different piece of wood all-together and set this aside. I was fiddling around on the mill over the weekend and found this design hiding in my dxf archives, I had forgotten about it. It seemed to fit this piece of wood just perfectly, so I carved it out. Today I painted it with my watercolours, and then I sanded it again so that the edges of the carving were perfectly clean. Some clear polish seals everything and ensures that the watercolour isn't going anywhere. The colours got a little deeper with the polish, but you can still easily see the wood grain through it (which was my goal). It is roughly 7x4.5 inches I cut a keyhole in the back so that it is easy to hang on the wall. And I'm very happy about the entire thing. I think this idea warrants further investigation.
